I think there is something special about the way design can make us feel something before we understand why. A color that feels familiar, a photograph that carries nostalgia, a typeface that has a personality all its own.
And those are the most influential pieces of design to me. The feeling underneath the visual. The mood, the memory, the tension that leaves you thinking or the familiarity that sticks with you.
Design, to me, isn’t decoration. It’s communication with a pulse.
That’s what I look for in branding, the emotion that makes an identity more than a collection of colors and typefaces. The little bit of soul that brings it to life.
I’m drawn to design that breathes, moves, and speaks to the person on the other side of it. Because when design is working, you don’t just see it… you feel it.
